Loose Wire

For true musicians, making music is not a matter of choice... It is the blood that fills our veins; the coffee as it stains; countless mystic pleasures and endless love-stricken pains.

We are Loose Wire and we are musicians, truly.

Technology has made it increasingly easier and affordable for musicians to produce our own music. The dysfunctional Music Industry and its stale business models have very little to do with bringing our sonic visions to life. And we don't think it's just us that have noticed. As a whole, there seems to be an ever growing disparity between the music that the mainstream Music Industry produces and promotes and real music that people gravitate towards, want to listen to and (God forbid) actually buy! When in doubt... cut out the middle man.

Loose Wire is a musical collective where each artist pays for the production and manufacturing of their own records and in turn receives 100% of any income generated by those releases. Collectively we will pursue our own paths of production, manufacturing, promotion and distribution. We support each other creatively, professionally and challenge each other to be true to the music we each must make.

The first compilation, Spool 1, represents many of the musical projects of the founding members of Loose Wire. There are many flavors, colors, textures, styles and angles captured on this collection and there will be many more to come in the future. We already have several full length albums from Eluktrick & Don't Ask Smingus ready to release and many more to come in the near future. We hope you enjoy the fresh fruits of our labors and we look forward to your help and support.
